I saw what somebody else did, tried it and it worked in just a few attempts. After getting short list perk, go to Hissing Wastes Merchant. Go back to Skyhold, save, exit and quit the game. I simply can not handle the apprentice coat, apprentice mail, keeper robes, and superior battlemage coat/mail. (not to mention the atrocity that is 'enchanter coat/mail) In a game full of hideous armor, there MUST be one that is stylish.
